🐾Maysville Girls Varsity Wrestling District-Audrey Crooks State Bound 🐾 Audrey Crooks punched her way to the OHSAA State Tournament after competing at the District Tournament and finishing 4th in the 125-pound weight class.🏆🐾 Kyrie Valentine competed at Districts, finishing 5th in the 105-pound weight class, earning a spot as a State Alternate.🤼‍♀️ Congratulations to both wrestlers on their incredible performances. 🐾Maysville Boys Varsity Wrestling District- Carter Abella State Bound 🐾 Seven Maysville Varsity Wrestling team athletes competed at the OHSAA Districts this weekend at Steubenville High School. The team was led by Carter Abella, who was the runner-up in the 126-pound weight class and has qualified for the OHSAA State Championship tournament this weekend in Columbus at the Jerome Schottenstein Center.🏆🐾 Maysville also placed three wrestlers in the top 6 at the District tournament: 🤼‍♂️Ziggy Sandobal – 5th place (State Alternate, 106-pound weight class) 🤼‍♂️Kade Renner – 5th place (State Alternate, 215-pound weight class) 🤼‍♂️ Kaleb "Dougie" Monlux – 6th place Way to go, Panthers! 🐾🔹 Maysville Career Pathway Highlight 🔹🐾 Owen Larimer and Hannah Slack took their learning beyond the classroom at the Future Healers event at Genesis.🏥 They had the incredible opportunity to interact with a full surgical team and even learned how to suture. The Panthers are now heading to the Regional Semifinal this Thursday at 8:00 P.M. at Ohio University Athens. In the District Championship victory, the Panthers were led by: 🏀Gator Nichols – 23 points, 4 assists 🏀Jordyn Watson – 18 points, 9 rebounds 🏀Kane Roehrig – 8 points 🏀Landon Iden – 7 points, 3 steals Good luck Panthers! Maysville Elementary 1st Graders Engineer Snow Shovels in the Tinker Lab! ❄️🔧 Maysville 1st graders became young engineers in the Tinker Lab, where they designed, built, and tested their very own snow shovels! ⛄🛠️ Using the Engineering Design Process, students explored different materials to determine which ones would be the most durable and effective for shoveling. They tested their creations with a variety of "snow" materials—including rice, cotton balls, marshmallows, and salt—observing how different textures and weights affected their shovel’s performance. This hands-on experience encouraged critical thinking, experimentation, and teamwork, helping our young engineers understand how design and materials impact real-world tools.
