The Maysville Varsity Swim Team competed against 20 teams Saturday at the Riverview Invitational at Coshocton High School. The Women’s team finished 11th, and the Men’s team finished 10th. 🐾🏊♀️🏊♂️
The Women’s 400-meter Freestyle Relay Team of Bailey Paskell, Olivia Rusnak, Claire Heiney, and Leila Hawk finished 10th, and the Women’s 200-meter Freestyle Relay Team of Leila Hawk, Bailey Paskell, Grace Rush, and Olivia Rusnak finished 15th.
The Men’s Relay Team of Owen Rusnak, Caleb Camp, Elijah Mayle, and Landyn Kennedy finished 9th in the 200-meter Medley Relay.
Top 20 individual finishes included:
🐾Senior Elijah Mayle finished 5th in the 400-meter Freestyle and 12th in the 50-meter Freestyle.
🐾Senior Bailey Paskell finished 15th in the 100-meter Breaststroke.
🐾Senior Owen Rusnak finished 3rd in the 100-meter Freestyle and 6th in the 100-meter Backstroke.
🐾Sophomore Caleb Camp finished 13th in the 200-meter Freestyle and 17th in the 100-meter Breaststroke.
🐾Sophomore Leila Hawk finished 2nd in the 200-meter Freestyle and 2nd in the 400-meter Freestyle.
🐾Sophomore Grace Rush finished 14th in the 200-meter Individual Medley.
The Panthers compete again on Saturday, January 11th, at the Tri-Valley Pentathlon at the Muskingum County YMCA.

Congratulations to the Maysville Boys Basketball team for defeating Zanesville with a score of 71-50. The panthers were led by Gator Nichols with 29 points and 5 rebounds, Landon Iden with 15 points, Jordyn Watson with 11 points and 6 assists and Kane Roehrig with 8 points and 7 rebounds. 🐾🏀

🎳 Maysville Panther Bowling at the Ohio State Bowling Classic🎳
🐾Maysville Boys Bowling team placed 5th out of 19 teams in the Ohio State Bowling Classic.
-Bryson Bintz shot a 680 and was named to the All Tournament Team.
-Matt Johnson and Jacob Miller both had 571 series.
🐾Maysville Girls finished in 15th place and were led by Jacey Waxler’s 413 series.

Weekly Athletics Schedule - Please note: Boys Freshman and JV basketball teams will play on Thursday in the HS gym starting at 5:00 pm. Varsity Boys Basketball will remain on Friday night with a start time of 5:30 pm. (HOF inductees will be introduced in the gym at 5:00 pm. - All HOF events will go on as scheduled with dinner at 4:15 pm)

🐾Maysville Elementary Latchkey Program:
-Closed when school is canceled.
-If there is a 2-hour delay, the Latchkey Program is delayed as well, with drop-off starting at 8:30 AM.
🐾Maysville OTAGS Extended Care:
-Closed when school is canceled.
-If there is a 2-hour delay, there are no AM classes, and Extended Care opens at 8:45 AM.
All Middle School basketball games with New Lexington at cancelled tomorrow. There will not be any practices for MS teams.

🏔️ Bobsled Physics: 5th Graders in the STEAM Lab! 🛷✨
Maysville 5th-grade scientists took a deep dive into the science of force, motion, weight, and friction in the STEAM Lab! 🧪💡
🔧 What they did:
Built LEGO bobsleds and tracks using detailed diagrams. 🛠️
Tested their predictions on how these factors influence the distance a bobsled travels. 📏✨
📊 The goal: Experiment, observe, and analyze their results to understand the dynamics of bobsledding like true engineers!

The High School Varsity Lady Panther Wrestlers competed in the Madison Lady Rams Rumble on Sunday, 12/29.
Leading the way for the Lady Panthers were Kyrie Valentine and Audrey Crooks, both earning 3rd-place finishes. Chloe Pierce also placed, earning 4th place.
The Middle School Lady Panthers also competed at Madison. They were led by strong performances from Bella Blair and Annika Winland, who each secured 3rd-place finishes.

The Maysville Middle School Wrestling team competed at the Cambridge Invitational on December 27th. The Cambridge Invite hosted 36 middle school teams. This tournament historically draws the best talent in the state of Ohio. Maysville placed 3 wrestlers.
