Congratulations to the Maysville Boys Basketball team for defeating Coshocton with a score of 76-72. The panthers were led by Gator Nichols with 25 points and 4 assists, Landon Iden with 17 points and 3 assists, Kane Roehrig with 13 points and 3 rebounds, Jordyn Watson with 11 points and 8 rebounds, and Gavin Ferguson with 10 points. 🏀🐾

The Maysville Varsity Swim Team competed at Ohio University on Friday, January 17, against Athens and Groveport Madison.
The Women’s 200 Yard Medley Relay Team of Leila Hawk, Bailey Paskell, Grace Rush, and Olivia Rusnak finished 2nd.
The Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Olivia Rusnak, Bailey Paskell, Claire Heiney, and Grace Rush finished 3rd.
The Men’s Relay Team of Owen Rusnak, Caleb Camp, Elijah Mayle, and Landyn Kennedy finished 2nd in the 400 Freestyle Relay and 3rd in the 200 Freestyle Relay.
Top 5 individual finishes included:
🏊♂️Senior Landyn Kennedy finished 4th in the 200 Free.
🏊♂️Senior Elijah Mayle finished 3rd in the 200 IM and 5th in the 100 Freestyle.
🏊♀️Senior Bailey Paskell finished 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke and 5th in the 100 Free.
🏊♂️Senior Owen Rusnak finished 3rd in the 50 Freestyle, 4th in the 100 Back.
🏊♂️Sophomore Caleb Camp finished 5th in the 100 Backstroke.
🏊♀️Sophomore Leila Hawk finished 2nd in the 100 Free and 200 Free.
🏊♀️Sophomore Grace Rush finished 4th in the 100 Fly and the 100 Breaststroke.
🏊♀️Freshman Olivia Rusnak finished 2nd in the 50 Free and 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke.
The Panthers will celebrate their Seniors and compete again on Wednesday, January 22nd, at the County Meet at the Muskingum YMCA.

🏆 Boys Varsity improved to 9-3 for the season with a win over Philo, securing a final score of 2162-2080.

The Boys were only up 4 pins going into our 2 Bakers Games and responded with a season high 420.

🌍💧 5th Graders Tackle the Global Water Crisis in the STEAM Lab! 💧🌍
Our young scientists took on a real-world challenge in the STEAM Lab—investigating the global water crisis! 🚰✨
🔎 What They Explored:
Students analyzed a video on water struggles in the Navajo Nation (New Mexico) and Kenya to understand the urgency of clean water access.
Working in teams, they tested four different materials to filter impurities from water. 💡🔬
After comparing results, they redesigned and built a fifth filter using the two most successful materials. 🛠️
🌟 Key Takeaways:
✅ Hands-on learning made science real and impactful!
✅ Students gained a new respect for hydrologists and the challenges of clean water access.
✅ Innovation and teamwork led to improved water filtration designs!

The Maysville High School Cheerleaders hosted a fun-filled kiddie camp for students in Pre-K through 6th grade on Sunday, themed "In Our Cheer Era."🎀📣 Participants crafted friendship bracelets, engaged in exciting games, and learned five classic sideline chants along with a short dance routine. Around 80 enthusiastic future Panther Cheerleaders showcased their skills at the Crooksville game Tuesday evening.

🐾 Lady Panthers Wrestling at Alexander Warehouse Tire Finale 🐾
The Maysville Lady Panthers wrestling teams traveled this weekend at Alexander High School.
🐾Varsity Results:
🤼♀️The team placed 6th out of 34 teams
🤼♀️Kyrie Valentine (105 lbs) & Audrey Crooks (125 lbs) claimed championship titles, defeating state-ranked competitors.
🤼♀️Valentine won 4 straight matches to find herself in the 105 pound championship against Leah Marine of Washington Court House. Marine was ranked at #4 in the State of Ohio at 105 pounds. Valentine defeated Marine by a score of 6-1 to win the championship. Valentine is now ranked #13 in the state at 105 pounds with a record of 21-1.
🤼♀️Crooks stacked up 4 pins making her way to the 125 pound championship against Jocelyn Malone of Alexander. Malone was ranked #23 in the State of Ohio at 125 pounds. Crooks recorded her 5th pin of the day in the championship, pinning Malone 3:51 seconds into the match.
🤼♀️Chloe Pierce placed 4th at 140 lbs.
🤼♀️Jayla Carpenter placed 8th at 190 lbs.
The Junior High Lady wrestlers placed 9th out of 28 teams. They were lead by Presley Sandobal's Championship win at 104 pounds and Annika Winland's 3rd place finish at 134 pounds.
