🐾☀️3rd Graders Explore Renewable Resources in the STEAM Lab☀️🐾
This month, the 3rd graders became renewable energy engineers during their visit to the STEAM Lab! As part of their science curriculum, they explored different types of renewable resources and how we can use natural forces to generate power.
Students rotated through three exciting stations to investigate wind, water, and solar energy:
🌬️ Wind Power: Using recycled materials, wheels, straws, and balloons, students built balloon cars to test the power of wind to move objects.
💧 Water Power: At the water station, students observed how flowing water can turn a wheel to generate energy, learning how hydroelectric power works.
☀️ Solar Power: With solar panels and lamps, students explored how sunlight can be captured and transformed into usable energy.

Mr. Canfield and Mrs. Warne were awarded a Supreme Court grant to take their juniors on an educational tour of the Ohio Supreme Court.🏛️

🐾☁️2nd Graders Explore Clouds in the Tinker Lab☁️🐾
Maysville 2nd graders took a hands-on journey into the sky during their visit to the Tinker Lab! As part of their science exploration, they learned all about how clouds are formed and how different types of clouds give us clues about the weather.
Using simple materials, the students created their very own "clouds in a jar" to observe the science behind cloud formation up close. By combining warm water, ice, and a little help from hairspray they watched as a cloud magically appeared right before their eyes.
