🎳 Panther Bowling Update🎳 Maysville Boys Varsity Bowling defeated Zanesville 2196-2171, led by Matt Johnson’s 240/457, Conner Theisen’s 221/392, and Bryson Bintz’s 203/405. The boys fell to Utica (2309-2196), bringing their season record to 11-6 with one league match left on Friday. The Maysville Girls Varsity split their matches, defeating Utica 1620-1480 and falling to Zanesville 1867-1620. Auska Johnson (181/356), Alana Johnson (153/289), Khloie Savage (149/277), and Jackie Waxler (146/286) led the way, finishing the season at 11-4. Maysville JV Girls picked up their first win with a 1135-862 victory over Utica. The Maysville Varsity Swim Team competed at the Southeastern Ohio Swim League Championships on Saturday, February 1, at Ohio University against 23 teams from the region. The Women’s 400 Meter Relay Team of Grace Rush, Olivia Rusnak, Bailey Paskell, and Leila Hawk finished 8th. Top 10 Individual Finishes Included: 🏊‍♂️Senior Elijah Mayle finished 8th in the 100 Butterfly. 🏊‍♂️Senior Owen Rusnak finished 4th in the 100 Freestyle and 5th in the 50 Freestyle. 🏊‍♂️Sophomore Caleb Camp finished 10th in the 100 Backstroke. 🏊‍♀️Sophomore Leila Hawk finished 2nd in the 500 Freestyle and 3rd in the 200 Freestyle. 🏊‍♀️Sophomore Grace Rush finished 9th in the 200 IM. The Maysville Varsity Swim Team competed at the MVL Championships on Wednesday, January 29, at Coshocton High School. The Men’s Team finished 3rd, and the Women’s Team finished 4th. 🐾Sophomore Leila Hawk was the MVL Champ in the 200-meter and 400-meter Freestyle, setting new MVL and school records in both events. 🐾The Men’s Relay Team of Landyn Kennedy, Elijah Mayle, Owen Rusnak, and Caleb Camp finished 4th in the 200-meter and 400-meter Freestyle Relay. 🐾The Women’s 400 Meter Relay Team of Bailey Paskell, Leila Hawk, Grace Rush, and Olivia Rusnak finished 3rd. 🐾Maysville Elementary 🐾 MES students are working hard on multiple manipulative skills with Arcade Games Unit in P.E.! They practiced striking both with a hand and an implement, underhand rolling, & underhand tossing with 5 different arcade game stations: Tic Tac Toe❌0️⃣ Air Hockey🌬️🏒 Bucket Ball🪣⚪️ Plank Pool💪🎱 Skee Ball🟢🟠🟡 They also practiced basic addition adding up their points at the different game stations!🧠➕ Such a FUN P.E. lesson learning, moving, and getting their heart rates up!
