The Maysville Varsity Wrestling Team traveled to Heath for the 16 annual Robbin Drumm Classic. Maysville finished runner-ups scoring 214.5 team points just behind a tough Northmor team. After the semi-finals Maysville had 9 wrestlers in the placement rounds and 5 of those 9 in championship matches. Maysville was lead by excellent performances both by freshman Jayce Daniels and Carter Abella with championship wins along with 2nd place finishes by Walker Archer, Logan Wilhite and Caleb Monlux. Also placing for the panthers was:

🏊♂️Maysville Swim Senior Night - 17th Annual County Meet 🏊♂️
The Maysville Swim Team competed at the 17th Annual County Meet on January 17th. The Men’s and Women’s Teams finished 2nd overall. Senior Tillman Hawk set a new school record in the Men’s 500 Yard Freestyle. Freshman Leila Hawk set new school records in the 200 and 500 Yard Freestyle and set County Meet records in both events as well.
The Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Team of Bailey Paskell, Claire Heiney, Madison Hirtle, and Grace Rush finished 2nd . The Women’s 400 Yard Freestyle Relay Team of Grace Rush, Madison Hirtle, Bailey Paskell, and Leila Hawk finished 2nd. The Men’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Team of Caleb Camp, Carter Mooney, Greyson Wood, and Tillman Hawk finished 2nd . The Men’s 400 Yard Freestyle Relay Team of Tillman Hawk, Caleb Camp, Elijah Mayle, and Casen Hirtle finished 2nd .

🏊♂️Elijah Mayle finished 3rd in the 200 Yard IM and 5th in the 100 Yard Breaststroke.
🏊♂️Leila Hawk finished 1st in the 200 Yard Freestyle and 1 st in the 500 Yard Freestyle.
🏊♂️Grace Rush finished 3rd in the 200 Yard IM.
The Panthers are back in action on Friday at the Athens Invitational at Ohio University.

Students in Mrs. Bankes' Physical Science class wrapped up their unit on chemical reactions through a fun, hands-on lab to explore chemical changes before and after a reaction occurs. Students were able to observe through touch to determine the result was an "exothermic" reaction, which means that the outcome of the reaction released heat.
