Have you ever touched a cloud? ☁️⛅Maysville Second graders joined Mrs. Hill in the Tinker Lab to talk about water in our atmosphere and how having just the right conditions gives us the ability to form our own clouds in a jar. During their second station, students learned about how cloud patterns can help us predict weather changes.⛅☁️ Students concluded their exploration by building their own cloud watchers to help them name and compare clouds.

Miss Wanda dropped by the Kindergarten Classrooms for two awesome sessions all about saving our planet! 🌍 First up, the students got down and dirty with recycling dos and don'ts. Then, Miss Wanda returned for round two, enlightening our little panthers about the unsung heroes of the soil: worms! 🐛

Mrs. Bankes' CCP Biology students had the opportunity to participate in a lab at Zane State College. The students ran a series of lab exercises that involved extracting DNA from a plant cells to observe under a microscope, and performed gel electrophoresis to simulate examining DNA samples as part of a forensic investigation. 🧬

Mrs. Hann’s math students practiced their math fraction knowledge by using M&M’s. The students practiced finding equivalent , adding, multiply, comparing, of fractions along with displaying them on a number line. 🍬➕✖️📏
