Maysville Local Schools Blood Drive A blood drive will be hosted through the American Red Cross on Tuesday, February 28th in the High School Outdoor Rec Room from 8AM-2PM. Anyone 16 or older may donate, however if you are under 17, you must get a parental consent form signed, which you can get from one of the blood program leaders (Ella Shipley, Bailey Silver, and Carmin Farnsworth). With a shortage of blood supply in our community, your donation could save a life! All presenting donors will be entered to WIN a free 1 night stay in the Columbus Easton Hilton! Congratulations to Hayden Jarrett for breaking the all time boys scoring record of 1204 points that was currently held by Lewis Sidwell. Lewis Sidwell was a 75' graduate of Maysville High School. Maysville Swimming At the Southeastern Ohio Swim League Championships Saturday at Kenyon College, the Panthers competed against 17 teams. Junior Tillman Hawk set a new school record in the 500-Yard Freestyle, and Sophomore Bailey Paskell set a new school record in the 100-Yard Breastroke. Top 15 finishes for the Panthers included: Senior Brooklyn Ponish finished 11th in the 200-Yard Freestyle and 15th in the 100-Yard Freestyle. Senior Alissa Jinkens finished 10th in the 100-Yard Backstroke. Junior Tillman Hawk finished 3rd in the 500-Yard Freestyle and 5th in the 200-Yard Freestyle. Sophomore Elijah Mayle finished 8th in the 200-Yard IM and 13th in the 100-Yard Freestyle. Sophomore Bailey Paskell finished 12th in the 100-Yard Breaststroke. Sophomore Owen Rusnak finished 7th in the 50-Yard Freestyle and 10th in the 100-Yard Backstroke. Sophomore Claire Heiney set a personal record in the 50 & 100-Yard Freestyle.
