🐾Maysville FFA Chapter🐾 Next week, from February 18th to the 21st, the Maysville FFA Chapter is celebrating National FFA Week. The week-long celebration will include spirit days with dress up themes, FFA facts of the day, and will conclude with a Farm Olympics Assembly on Friday, February 21st, where the six pathways will compete in agriculture themed games! The spirit week dress up themes are: 🐾Tuesday- America Day (Wear Red, White, and Blue) 🐾Wednesday- Farmers Day (Dress in your farm clothes) 🐾Thursday- Flannel Day (Wear your favorite flannel shirt) 🐾Friday- Blue and Gold Day (Wear Blue and Gold to show your FFA and Maysville Pride!) They will also be holding a “Slushy Shower” fundraiser throughout the week, featuring some Maysville teachers! Throughout the week during lunch, students will be able to vote for participating teachers to receive a slushy shower at the farm olympics by putting money in their jars. The new FFA Chapter is excited to establish new traditions here at Maysville, and hopes you will all join us in celebrating our first ever National FFA Week. Proud to be a panther. #PantherPride

🏊‍♂️🐾🏊‍♀️ District Swim Championships🏊‍♀️🐾🏊‍♂️ All four District qualifiers of the Maysville Swim Team set personal records competing at the South East District DII Swim Championships on Friday at Ohio University. 🏊‍♀️Congratulations to Sophomore Leila Hawk, who qualified for State in the 500-yard Freestyle. Leila is the first swimmer in Maysville’s history to qualify for State. Leila medaled and finished 3rd in the 500-yard Freestyle and medaled and finished 7th in the 200-yard Freestyle, both her personal bests and new school records. 🏊‍♂️Senior Elijah Mayle finished 31st in the 200-yard IM, his season best. 🏊‍♂️Senior Owen Rusnak finished 17th in the 100-yard Freestyle and 26th in the 200-yard Freestyle, both personal records. 🏊‍♀️Sophomore Grace Rush finished 24th in the 100-yard Butterfly, winning her heat and setting a new personal best. Congratulations on an outstanding season, Panthers! Best wishes to Leila Hawk on Thursday when she will represent Maysville at the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Swimming & Diving State Championships at C.T. Congratulations to the Maysville Girls Basketball team for defeating East Liverpool with a score of 54-48. With this win, the lady panthers advance to the District Semi-Final game against Morgan. 🎳 Panther Bowling 🐾 Conner Theisen led the way yesterday in Dover as the Panthers qualified 3rd out of 26 teams. Conner had an impressive series of 667, which was the 6th highest for the sectional tournament.
